Review tasks with voting

Open the task

Before opening your task, make sure you download any attachments.

Click the Open Task button.

  • A numbered list of items in your task displays along the left side.

  • To navigate through items, click the item number or use the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom right.

  • You can also use Go to item to immediately open a specific item.

  • Use the Flag button to mark items that need further attention. Flagging is visible to both you and your Editor. You can unflag items if attention is no longer needed.

  • Click the Return to Tasks link at the top left of the screen to exit your task at any time.

  • You can return to any incomplete task later from the main Tasks screen.

Item voting

Items display in Preview mode without any editing options.

  1. Upon first opening the task, items display in read-only Preview mode. Click the icons on the right to view additional item information.

    Item Settings: Displays the item version, correct answer, and other general information.

    Tags: Displays tags assigned to the item.

    Committee Info/Tag Collections: Any tag collections selected during task setup display at the bottom of the screen.

    Enemies: Displays enemies associated with the item.

    Citations: Displays any item citations/references.

    Comments: Displays any public comments for the item.

    Candidate Feedback: Opens the Candidate Feedback text editor.

  2. Vote to Reject, Advise, or Approve the item.
  3. Add comments detailing your decision.
  4. Your votes and comments are not visible to other reviewers.

  5. Click Confirm to save your comments and move on to the next assigned item in your list. Items are colored and marked to indicate your voting decision on each.
  6. You can change your decisions and update the voting comments at any time before completing the review.

Item editing

The following functions may or may not be available depending on how your Editor set up the task.

  1. Click the Edit Item button in Preview mode.

  2. If the Edit Item button is not available, item editing is not enabled for the task.

  3. For detailed information on item editing, click the links below and keep the tabs open for reference as you work:

  4. Open the Advanced menu and click Show Tracked Changes to see edits that you and other reviewers make in this task highlighted by color. This includes the question stem, answer options, and candidate feedback.

  5. Hovering your mouse over highlighted changes identifies who made the change.

  6. To hide tracked changes and view the original text, open the Advanced menu and click Hide Tracked Changes.

  7. Click Save when you are finished to commit your changes.

Complete the task

Before completing a task, make sure you have submitted ALL items.

  1. Close the task to return to the main Tasks screen.
  2. Click the Complete Task button.

Your completed task will no longer appear on the Tasks screen. If you need to retrieve and reopen your task, click here for instructions.
